I surrender all (Well, not quite) LIG/WIG
You win! This is the war channel! All war, almost all of the time!
I am so confused....

Re: I surrender all (Well, not quite) LIG/WIG
Somehow in my warped humor I thought this was funny... Maybe I goofed.
Shall I return to Life in General now?

Re: I surrender all (Well, not quite) LIG/WIG
In normal day-to-day conversation, it's not what is said, but how it is said. That's why so much online is said one way and is interpreted in a completely different way. There aren't enough smileys that can be used to get the intention across in a statement, and so far there aren't either sarcasm or humor tags in UBB code or HTML. Maybe there should be.

Re: I surrender all (Well, not quite) LIG/WIG
:depressed: I don't play on this board much but my eyes nearly popped out of my head when I saw LIG went WIG   True the topics of late are war related but this in time will close and hopefully so will WIG. I would like to see LIG back in it's place I also agree with TFG

Re: I surrender all (Well, not quite) LIG/WIG
Once again the Geek rings true.
Most of what is said, if were done so in person, would not cause near the stir as it does in written communication.
I am having trouble finding anything funny about war at this moment. Maybe it is the death and mayhem I am hearing about on NPR as I type......

I'd rather see LIG or nothing at all

Re: I surrender all (Well, not quite) LIG/WIG
Jennie...it doesn't matter to me, but I got a small chuckle out of it.
Not that war is funny, but rather our reaction to it. Especially considering the attempts made to have other topics, besides political conversation here. (Is there something else to talk about? )
Thanks for the chuckle..."we now return you to your regularly scheduled programming."

Re: I surrender all (Well, not quite) LIG/WIG
My humor was not derived out of our state of war, but rather a way for me to deal with the intense horror and frustration I feel, both with this board, and of the war.
We will return you now to LIG. Please, let's be peaceful with one another. I'm begging. I really can't take much more war "poking" threads. Let's come together as one, or as nearly as possible.
Jen

Re: I surrender all (Well, not quite) LIG/WIG
LIG is great! We can tell fish stories, lies and all. We can also focus on one thing so much that it will consume us. I would rather focus on spring, the miracle of new growth and the promise of more memories to accumulate this season. I also think about serenity of watching this all unfold. Think positive. The fish might catch on.
