if you are talking about a metal frame door on a tub - clear silicone around the inside metal to tub and metal to wall joint.

I don't know which one to recommend, but I can tell you I've used both "DAP Bath Sealant" and "Lifetime brand Ceramic Tile Adhesive and Caulk" and had mildew problems with both of them.

Both of these say they won't mildew, but that hasn't been the case for me. They haven't leaked, but they do mildew.

I've used some stuff by Polyseamseal that didn't mildew. I'm too lazy to get off my butt and go look, but I think the tube says it's guaranteed not to. But it's going to depend on how wet or dark your bathroom is.

Polyseamseal is a good product for a latex bath/tub sealant. The latex sealants are easy to use. Run a bead around, wet your finger, and smooth it out. Looks like a pro did the job. I still prefer to use a good 100% silicone sealant like GE or MD. Make sure everything is clean and dry. The latex caulks tend to pull away when curing if things are not clean and dry when applied.
