Default Cresent Lake Camping

Going to Cresent Lake next week for the first time I was wondering which campground is the best and also do they have docks or can I just pull the boat up on the beach, I noticed Dullhook went there couple weeks ago and stayed at Spring campground and parked on the beach can't wait to get there all of the pictures that I have seen on Ifish looks like it is very nice looking forward to going up there. Thanks KK..

We went up and stayed at Spring last weekend. The camp was nice and you can launch at Spring. The dock is not to good. You can run the boats on to the beach at 6 or 7 of the choice lakefront sites. Good luck. I had B-B-Q'd Kokes for dinner tonight and they were sooooooo gooood.

As TJ mentioned, as of last week the dock was unusable. What happened was that the water level has risen so high that there's a large span of lake between the dock and the shore. It sort of sat out there like an island. The camp host said that the FS was coming out to tow it back in and refasten so it would be accessible again from the bank. Not sure if they've done that yet or not? Anyhow, you'll have no problem mooring your boat on the beach.

Speaking of docks, KK...we both know of a very nice young man who will be very careful the next time he rides his bike on one ... have a great time!

Keep in mind when beaching a boat at Cresent to leave it in the water a little. The levels can go down overnight. Don't ask how I know
