Clear Lake in Wasco County
I've never fished it, so wife and I took the boat to Clear Lake. Must be a new hatch out, because there was bugs all over the boat, and we were in the middle of the lake. Those fish are going to grow fast with that much food. Very little wind and the lake was like glass.
We were using a green wedding ring with 1/2 oz of weight to keep the gold dodger from planing on the surface. The fish were on the top, but then again the lake is only about 22' deep. Had about 50 pulls of line out, and trolling at 1.3 mph (GPS).
We did alot of K & R, with the fish that weren't hooked to badly. But still ended with our 10 fish for supper. We must have released another 10 to 15 fish, before calling it a day at 2:00. It was one of the few times I had to hid under a blanket to put the corn on my WR to keep the fish from taking it before the WR hit the water. All the fish were between 8 and 13". It was a fun day, and would recommend Clear Lake while the fishing is hot.
