Default Question for Adim

Is there anyway to tweak the board so only the boards visited are marked as read instead of all of them?

Thanks

I'm not sure what you mean by "only the boards visited are marked as read". I think the way it works now is that if you have not read every thread in a forum, there will be a red and white bobber indicating that you have unread threads in that forum. Within a forum, the folder at the front of a thread is yellow if there are posts within the thread that you haven't read.

If you're asking whether you could mark "Life in General" read, without reading all the posts, but leave "The Ifish Community" markers unaffected, no I don't think that's an option in this software.

Now, the only three ways I know to mark things read are a) to read them, b) to log off and then log back on, or c) to click the little "R" button at the bottom left of the main forum page twice.

Does that answer your question?

<font size="2" face="verdana,arial,helvetica">Yes and no.

At this site I visit the following boards:

Ifish Community
LIG
Boats for sale
General Classifieds
Sometimes Salty Dog's

I don't always have time to hits all the boards but when I quit my browser session [it] will mark all the posts as "read" in all the boards.

It was my hope that there might be an option that could be activated that would allow the user to "mark as read" the board s/he has read and not the others.

I am Admin for game board that has this function and it is very nice option to use.

Click here for an example @ Software Specialties

Thanks for your time Pete.
