Default What I appreciate about iFish

Just trying to get a non-fighting thread going...no politics, no name calling, no stress for Jennie and the mod-squad. Begin your replies I have done my post here:

What I appreciate about iFish...I appreciate the sense of community and the willingness for some people to go out of their way to help others on the board figure out solutions to different things, whether its how to crab in Netarts Bay, or how to catch a steelhead, or how to fix something around the house.

I appreciate and make use of all that, too. But I also enjoy discussions of the political aspects of our sport. Yes, they sometimes become heated discussions...and minor amounts of rude behavior and name-calling may sometimes occur...but overall I think these topics are just as important and interesting as fishing reports...and a lot more interesting than polls on what the best hook is, or the best fishing line, etc.

Good try, though, CT. Really good effort.

I have been fascinated by virtual communities ever since Al Gore invented the Internet. This is the biggest virtual community I've been part of.

I appreciate that most folks realize that FISHING is way more critical than the junk we bicker about in here!

WHAT THE HELL IS ALL THIS BLATHERING DRIVEL ABOUT!!!!????

Oh, wrong thread. Nevermind...

Actually, I appreciate;
1) Learning about the dressing habits of Eldrone
2) Understanding how many ways words can be mis-spelled
3) The fact that arguments are separated by cyberspace instead of barroom brawls
4) How right some views are even if they are wrong
5) The neet stuf aboute were an how to kitch fisis

I really enjoy reading Jenny's "Diary".

I have really taken more than I have given. Especially Springer info.

An interesting, if somewhat challenging group of charachters.

Jenny could you hook up the spel cehker?

Thank You!

I'm getting all warm and fuzzy here I appreciate good fishing reports, pictures, tech advice AND the fact that most folks can keep their cool in heated debates about fishing gear or politics.

Heck I even like Crabbait as long as he does'nt low hole me or steal my fishing spot.

My three year old is sick tonight. To calm him, I opened up the picture upload feature, and we looked at pictures of fish together. It got him feeling much better. He loves fish! Where else on the internet, or anywhere else for that matter, can we do this? And on demand, for that matter? He felt much better after looking at all the fish pictures! Thank you to everyone who posted fish pics! And thank you Jennie for starting this site! He's been up at night for the past couple of days, and the fish pictures helped to console him an enormous amount! That's what I like about iFish! All fishing, all the time... oh wait, this is "Life in General". Okay, Mostly Fishing all the Time!

I appreciate the opportunity that I've been blessed with through iFish to meet (and, in some cases, fish with) some really interesting and entertaining people. The learning aspect itself is invaluable, too.

iFish has helped me rethink some long-held beliefs that I have, and also solidify others.

Thank you Jennie, for providing such a worthwhile resource.

I still have alot to learn about Salmon/Steelhead and Stugeon fishing. Ifish has made this alot easier for me. I also enjoy all the stories and bloopers people talk about. And finnally I enjoy how everyone pulls together as a team to get things accomplished. (liscens fee increase, and Gohst net)Examples.

Thanks Jennie and Ifish community

And the Oscar goes too:........

I appreciate the fishing tips and advice from people like ******, Drachir, and others. I appreciate the diversity of this group to offer far more valuable advice, support and wisdom too. (GRB,Crabybait,SH,Jerry, Justdave GP..DAB etc)
I appreciate the IFish Chapel. The people Ive met...Boedy, XTC, Rainrshine, Atworkalot, FIL(Jimmy) Willierower, Zaq..and a few I am sure are IFishers etc. ( Im sure I forgot some people..oh, uh sublime..although brief) Met a few off the water too.. And I am certainly looking forward to meeting others..Spud...Uhh Marks dog is on the list somewhere above mark  and too many more to list.

The chance to break the ice with people who would otherwise float rite buy a guy like me (whos uglier than the geek)
And last but not least...the flood of emails I got from all the closet Brady bunch and "courage the cowardly dog" fans out there in IFish land has made me more appreciative (and confident) of my entertainment selections which formed my caracter and self esteem throughout my journey to this unworthy pedestal on which I now stand.

How could I forget the producers...Jenny, and Pete, and the director "google" for getting me here in the first place? And of course YOU the fans!...who make this all possible! (applause)
Tito, bring me a tissue.

I'd have one heck of a fishing site if you guys all left, now wouldn't I?

Thank you all, so much for calling this your ifish home!

I just wish that Jennie's column would be posted as a topic each day. I so enjoy many of her artistic expressions and would love to comment at times.
