Default Quick trip to the lake

Our quick trip to the lake this afternoon yielded my wifes biggest trout to date. After several drive-byes she won the reel screeming battle that brought this fatty to the net. Errrr, wait it might not have been the reel that was screaming... Anyway it tipped the scales at a little over 2 pounds.

A little windy, but it didn't rain. The Bald Eagle pair were fun to watch, and our GSP found this trip a little more relaxing than her last. All in all a good day. We brought several smaller one to the boat, but when my wife saw the size of this one, she said with excitement..."that one is going to be dinner!"
I couldn't be happier. I am glad she got "a toad"! It was fun to see her get excited.

That is a dandy. Reminds me of many trips taken with my wife in our drift boat. Our black lab always seemed to end up in the fishin' pictures too!
