Default Red light cameras / photo radar

Just curious. Has anyone ever gotten a ticket for going through a red light camera or speeding past a photo radar? I have been caught several times in Beaverton by those cameras but I have never gotten anything from the authorities. Let me first point out that the reason I was caught was due to the driver in front of me taking a scenic drive through a busy intersection.

I have also gone past those photo radar well above the speed limit and have never heard anything about it.

Only about 50% of the pics are clear enough for them to have a good picture. The rest are not deemed good enough to take to court because of glare, hats on the drivers, driver wrong sex to registered owner, etc..

I posted a thread about this a few weeks ago. I got nailed on my way home from work, but never got anything in the mail. Ironically, while I was watching the mail box, a ticket showed up for my girlfriend. She got one down the street a couple of days after I got photoed. I called an attorney on her behalf, but he wanted $350 to "maybe" make it go away. Worth it if it was my ticket, but not for her. (I drive for a living.)
I read the letter carefully, and it looks like you can just sign the Certificate of Innocence and say you weren't driving. They do warn you they check driver's license photos at random if you state you were not driving.
She hasn't made up her mind about what to do yet.

Last February I got a photo radar ticket on Macadam south of Staff Jennings and the Sellwood bridge.. I'm writing this because I went to court and it was thrown out. Actually, I have never had a ticket in my long life and I have never seen
a car marked as such. I got the ticket in the mail with a letter that stated that it was taken by a well marked van....???? Not so. I saw a dark blue van with no markings parked on the very little bit of shoulder that is on the right hand side of Hyw 43. The picture showed me attempting to block that FLASH in my eyes. Scared the skin off of me and I am lucky I didn't have an accident. After the fact, That was the first time I had ever seen active photo radar or tickets being given there.
The ticket was for $110 and I decided to go to court...eventually set for June. Several days before the date, I was driving through that area and there SHE was...giving out more tickets.
I went back home and got my husband and camera.
I don't know why..just did it.
So here goes from my experience...
1. The reader board light doesn't flash unless you hit ten miles over the limit.
2. The van is supposed to be marked which the 2nd one clarly was. Had a speed reader on and very easy to see.
3. There is also supposed to be a warning marker at least 150 feet from the van...NONE when I got the ticket. There was a marker with this 2nd van on the opposite side of the highway and you could only see it through the tires of the autos in two lanes of the opposite traffic and set low to the ground. If you were in the outside lane, it would have been three lanes of autos. It took us four drivebys before we could get a picture of that sign from the opposite side of the road...let alone be visible to a non suspecting driver.
4. We just took pictures of what we observed and then I got out of the car and I stood directly across from her and took another. I almost didn't go to court, but I knew what I was going to say....several violations of the law.
When we showed up in court, I was #2 on the docket. When the judge called my name, she(the officer) stood up and said that she wasn't ready.
I'm thinking.....this happened 5 months back and she wasn't ready?
The judge dismissed it.
You know, I could have paid that $110 and nobody would have known the difference.
Go back and re-read the letter and then go over
what you think happened if this was a surprise.
This highway is notorious for speed driving...
and there is also something about not being photoed if you are moving with the flow of the traffic. Good luck with your choice..
