yes, another new guy
Hello all,
I have been watching ifish for a while and finally needed to join the club. I haven't been fishing too long but have learned enough to get by. I hear it is customary to share a story on the first post so here it goes: Just lately I started tying flies. My buddy, who has been tying for quite a while, always laughs when I show him my latest creation and says some derogetory comment about its design. Anyhow, this "useless" fly that supposedly would catch nothing found itself lodged firmly in the mouth of a 18# nate dog. I gave him the fly.

Nice! I do that to my buddy all the time. He talks trash about something, then I prove him wrong. His latest 'gripe'.. bobber and jigs. First day out with a couple of my jigs and he landed three... he's a believer now!
