Yamaha T8 Tilt Switch

The tilt switch on my T8 has malfunctioned. The switch appears loose and the rubber grommet apears to be the only thing holding the rocker/ toggle in the housing. It can be played with to get up or down but if it is in a certain position the tilt operates unexpectedly (not a good situation) and the motor continues to run against the stop. Anyone had this same experience ? The motor is still under warranty. The dealer that it was purchased at is out of business. Who is still around that can be trusted to do warranty work on Yamahas ?
