Default 15hp bigfoot

just got this motor finally in trade for some work that i did but i notice that a little bit of oil is coming out down by the prop.
but anyhow i was wondering if this is normal or if not what i need to do to fix it.

the motor was stored on its side for a little bit from the previous owner and then put on the motor stand that it is on right now.

here is a pic:

Is it a 2stroke or 4stroke. My 2stroke 15hp merc does the same thing. It's just unburned 2cycle oil. Just a little drip of black oil every now and then.

Later,

Chris

just started it for the first time and it started really easy, so i let it run for a minute then i turned it off.
i went back and started it again after a few minutes and it is making a loud squeeling noise

also it seems like it keeps seizing up a little bit and i took the belt off, and now the timing is off, i just cant get a break with any of my motors or my boat.
anyone know where i can find an online manual to help me set the timing back?

Go to West Marine and buy a manual for it they are only 20 bucks. Sorry I can't help with anything else. Ask the boat doc?

Maybe you have a bad prop seal? If it's stored laying down it should be stored on the tiller handle side. That's how my yami is.

i did some searching and found a few posts with the same problem and they said to replace the bushing in the lower unit over the waterpump housing.
if i do this i would also want to get an impeller kit for it.
my question is where do i find that bushing for my motor i looked all over and couldnt find it also what gaskets would i need and impeller kit?

i got the timing set back to where it is supposed to be
