Rosie 105 fm
I had to post this...does anyone listen to these clowns in the morning on Rosie 105?
I have had to pull over and wipe tears of laughter from my eyes a few times listening to these guys.
I cant remember names, Terry ann is the girl?, ...drew a blank on the guys names. Is it just me? I think they're a riot most times I hear them, maybe I am just struggling to find a reason to stay awake on the freeway.

Nelson. He's been on Portland radio for years. Got his start as "Nelson the Intern" on Z100 in the mornings.
I'm a Stern fan, personally.

The other guys name is Terry also. I was on with them a couple years ago when it was still Carrie and Terry. Had a blast, even more fun with the off air stuff.

Re: Rosie 105 fm
Nelson isn't on there anymore? Guess that shows how much I listen to them.
As for Stern, I love the way he exploits these people. Nobody forces them to go on the air. There are times when he gets a bit TOO sick, but then I just turn it off. Otherwise, he's incredibly funny. I just wish that they'd quit using the mosaic on his television show...

I love those guys....very funny show most days. I flip equally though between Rosie, Stern and NPR in the mornings on my drive to work.

Re: Rosie 105 fm
Geek. Nelson is still there.
Sterns mosaic $ucked the first time it was aired! Are those doves? Think OZZY!
Speaking of which...the Osbournes is the dumbest show Ive ever watched over and again. Put this guy out of his misery!
Was a fan once, and attended many concerts including Randy Rhoades' last.

Re: Rosie 105 fm
Howard Stern, Jerry Springer and a few others of their ilk very smart in what they do.
Inspite of their personalities and attributes they are able to package senseless, mindless, adolencent "get a life" type programming and sell it to a wide audience which, for whatever reason, seem to like that sort of stuff.
Advertisers seeing the response to this type of programming jump all over it completing the loop.
Regardless of their backgrounds, these professionals have come to reconize how easy it is to exploit people at all levels.
This, of course, is not limited to the Howard Sterns of the world. American audiences have been, from time to time, led down the path for decades. Too bad it is getting worse.
This of course could lead into a conversation about civilization and it's culture and entertainment. How low will our values receed? What will we be considering entertainment 100 years from now?
Consider some of the things that are popular now:
Stern & Springer shows
Survivor type shows
Anna & Ozzy shows
ER shows where we watch people on the brink of death
Police chase and Police shows in general
ETC....
Hey I have an idea. Lets get our prisoners in a sports arena and do battle to the death with large animals and each other.
Or has that been done already......
