Question 2 stroke oil

I'am almost out of yama lube 2 stroke oil and I was wondering if there would be any problems mixing Quicksilver oil with the yama lube after I run the reservoir down ?

Any kind of two stroke oil will do fine as long as it has "TCW-3". And nearly all of it does. I use either Havoline or Valvoline, whichever is cheaper when I go to buy it.

Bi-Mart carries semi-synthetic Penzoil TCW-3 oil for $18 bucks a gallon. I started using it a few weeks ago and like it a lot. Really reduced the stink and blue smoke from my two strokes.

Assuming your motor is oil injected, I would recomend taking a small clear glass container and mixing 1oz of Yamalube with 1oz of the new stuff. mix it up good and leave it set overnight. If it stays together your good, if they seperate i would recomend you drain the oil tank and bleed the system of all Yamalube. We have done some oil conversions on snowmobiles and found that most oils mix fine with the exception of Yamalube. Somtimes it just turns into little balls and repels the other oil. Somtimes its fine, so its worth the time for the little test.
