How much is gass in your area?

I'm in the bay area this week and have seen regular from $1.89 to $2.25, this is crazy really makes me think I will keep my 25 honda and power up to a 50.

I'm in Salmon Creak (vancouver) and its $1.69, $1.79, and $1.89 for super. It seemed to really jump about 4 weeks ago. Went up like 5 cents a day for a week straight.

Too Much! Just got rid of a four cylinder Ford Contour to get a 97 Ford Taurus SHO with a V8. It takes premium. 18 gallon tank, 16-20 miles to the gallon. Ouch! It used to cost me around $20 to fill the tank. I am now spending close to $40 and i'm not going any farther.

Maybe i'll stand on the side of the road with a sign that reads "High tax bracket American needs money to fill his gas tank".

Two days ago it was $1.51 down the street from me. The arco on Andresen between Mill Plain anf Fourth Plain. Probably $1.53 by now.

In Scappose it was 1.65 at Leathers Texaco on 30, 1.68 at Fred Meyer (after the card discount) and 1.70 at the Arco at Lintton. Those were for regular unleaded a couple days ago. I rounded up the 9/10 of a cent (why do they do that?

Regular unleaded was 1.60 at the Oregon way Arco in Longview a couple days ago (again, rounded up).

As much time as I spend around gas stations, attempting to earn a living, you'd think I'd pay attention to prices. I don't. [img]graemlins/eek13.gif[/img]
I did notice that unbranded reg was $1.69 in Gresham today.
Some of the old timers at work used to drain the tank plumbing on the trucks at the end of their shift and put the gas in their cars. One guy actually bragged to me that he hadn't bought gas in 3 years. :shocked:

I saw regular in Beaverton this morning at $1.91 a gallon.

I was in Kansas last week and never saw gas over $1.55 a gallon anywhere.

Very interesting how gas is always so much more expensive in the West than any where else.

$1.58 per gal in the very" tony" town of Damascus. Noticed the lines at Safeway and 76 are getting longer daily. Other grades increase .10 per grade per gal.

I usually don't pay too much attention to gas prices, but I was set back today after seeing that the receipt was for $41.50 to fillup my Range Rover. There is no immediate plan to replace my beloved SUV, but I wil have to consider some alternatives, as my monthly gas bill has risen to about $300 per month.

Paid $1.91 for regular this morning in Wilsonville :shocked: didn't have time or fuel to "shop around."

$1.75 at my "regular" Shell in N. Salem.

$1.77 with a safeway card in Philomath today.

After paying $1.91 in Otis for the last week, $1.77 looked good!
Saved a whole three bucks on a fill.

As of this afternoon Fred Meyer in Scappose is 1.71 9/10 after the card discount. This is the absolute cheapest I can find from Portland to Astoria on Hwy 30.

Isn't this sick??? I heard were paying as much for our gas as they are in Alaska (which is notorious for high prices).
