Default Crescent report

So me and my pontoon rigged with my 40 pond thrust Min Kota, and humming bird fishing buddy, and of cource my 5" ifish decale Jen sent me in the mail last week left springfield at 0330 bound for Crescent lake for the first time. After reading a few posts here and there I knew I wanted to head to the west end of the lake. I arrived at the lake bout 0540, and followed the signs to the boat ramp. I get to the boat ramp and see that if I put in here I may make to the west end of the lake for the evening bite! So I hop back into my rig and start to drive in the direction I want to end up, hopeing that I may find a place to put in a little closer to where I need to be.
Sure enough about 2 miles up the road I find a day use pullout that when I backed down in to it I was only a mere five yards from the water. So far so good!! After bout twenty Minutes of rigging my bout with all of its bling I was finally ready to fish!!! As soon as I hit some fishable water I dropped my once and a half banana weight, 4\0 Dodger, and my homemade red and green wedding ring tipped with white corn down to where I hope the fish are. To start things off I took 30 pulls on my Okuma thinking this should put me about where I want to be (I think!!).
A whole Five minutes into my my troll BAM! my IM-7 takes a dive! And befor I knew It I had a limit of 5 in the boat. (hour and half to b e exact). Even though I had my limit I was haveing way to much fun to just leave so I did the catch and release thing for about 3 more hours. A little after 1100 a started back to my rig with the biggest smile on my face Crescent lake has ever seen, cause I had boated 27 Kokes!!(dont worry cause I cant belive it either)
So thanks to all of you who come home after those good and bad trips to the lake, sit down in front of the computer ( of course after kissin up to your spouce a little first cause you have been gone all day) and posting how your trip went.
God luck on you next trip to you favorite honey hole, I bet you can guess where mine is!!!!!

Very good! Looks like you made a great choice on which lake to fish for hot action. I'm hoping to head over there next week. How was the skeeter situation? Usually it's wise to pack some extra deet when camping at Crescent this time of year. I learned that lesson the hard way.

I'd say 10 - 12 inches, but we didn't actually measure any of them. To me the fish were of average to slightly below average size for this time of year.

I was there from Thursday - Tuesday and the fish we were catching on the early part of the trip were 10 - 11 inches and a little skinny. Towards the end of the trip they were 11 - 12 and a significantly fatter. We fished mostly near spring, so the bigger fish must have moved in from elsewhere in the lake.
