Default Where to fish on Saturday

I am pondering taking my wife fishing on Saturday and would like to stay close to home (Oregon City). I was thinking about either North Fork (Clackamas) or Detroit Lake. Any reports on either.

I suggested shad but she didn't like the idea of catching a fish that she wouldn't eat.

Thanks in advance,

Count your blessings Tiny. Your wife shows a great deal of wisdom! Listen to her advice on everything... Sorry, I can't give you any first hand info but know that Detroit produces lots of rainbows this time of year. Bank or boat. Someone else on the forum can probably give you a real-time report. Good luck...and hang on to that lady!

A lot will depend on if you have a boat. I assume you do, so I would go to North Fork Res. I have always caught a bunch of trout after its opened every year. Plus they heavily stock it. Just troll your usuall trout lake troll stuff, or just a little flash and a worm, or just drag a plain worm, they should all work, just use a worm.
