My son really wanted a Tru-Tungsten swim bait 8" Rainbow Trout for Christmas. To me, the idea of a $50 fishing lure is crazy but my husband and boys are huge bass fishermen (my son caught the Oregon state-record Smallmouth Bass in 2005 - 8 lb 2oz) and he takes care of his stuff, so we bought it for him. He fished with it 2 times. The first time, he caught a 3 lb largemouth and missed another. The second trip, he cast it out whole but when he reeled it in, the pin had fallen out and all he had left was the head piece. He takes excellent care of his gear so the lure breaking wasn't due to neglect or abuse. They have a lot of soft baits but my son wanted a good hard-bait. My husband has 2 BBZ's. He's had them for 2 years and they've held togather just fine. My son says that the Tungsten blows the BBZ lures out of the water with it's action and appearance. At Christmas, there was a lot of friendly ribbing going on due to the fact that Nick now had a better, more expensive lure than his dad, grandpa or brother. You can imagine how disappointed he was when his broke. Could there have been a manufacture defect with this lure? It should not have fallen apart after only two uses. Is there any kind of quality guarantee with your lures? We still have the head piece. Would you be willing to replace either the lure itself or the the missing pieces for no charge? We would be willing to mail you guys the head and have you fix it there if that would be eaiser. Thank you, Shannon

Thank you for using Tru-Tungsten
Hello Shannon,
Thank you for your inquiry and interest in our products. Sorry for the delay in getting back with you. We were very busy over the holiday weekend. Anyway, we are sorry to hear about the misfortune with your son’s 8” trout swimbait. We should be able to send you a replacement out sometime soon. The QC people may request the “remains” of your old bait back but I will let you know if that is the case. In future be sure to put a slight bend in pin to assure a tight fit when it is installed in the bait. There should be instructions for this on the insert for the bait.
Regards,
Bob
