Default I broke my wife's fly rod!!!!

Worst thing ever...she is pretty particular about the thing....I bought it for her....She is sitting on the bank behind me with my Sage VT next to her...but for some reason....I am in the river with her rod.....

I keep noticing a small 3-4" stick hung up on the indicator. I try casting it a few times.....still there. Hmmm...reel it in...it is the last 3" of her rod tip that has slid down the line......she is not happy with me right now...LOL

Ok. So does anyone know who/where I can ship this rod in to get it fixed.? It is a Sage rod and I just perused the website but didn't see any info about having rods repaired.

By the way...we did very well over the weekend. Many many very nice and very large fish...

Thanks in advance!!

Get the number off of their web site and call them, they will tell you what you need to do. You can also take it to your local fly shop and they will send it in for you, this takes longer than doing it your self.

What JRV said.............
Sage has a very liberal return/replacement warranty. If the rod was purchased already built they will send a replacement. If custom built they will send a new blank. I am on my second replacement for a custom built rod for reasons that are not warranty related.

Sage is great. I sent in a busted 4 weight a few years ago, and they replaced it in a week or so. Good luck in Alaska.

I was under the impression that Sage has/had a lifetime warranty?

Just wanted to kick out an update on this.

Sage is incredible. They fixed the rod, we have it back. It looks wonderful. We will fish it this weekend.

I am very pleased with their customer service.

Its not often these days that I am pleasantly surprised by good customer service.

Without going into a company/rod comparison, I second the "you get what you pay for".

Scott has twice replaced tips for me. And they custom build the replacement to balance the original rod !
