I read you update after your doctor apointment. I am glad there is a least a glimmer of hope. I can relate to the effort in tying fishing knots as compared to a few years back.
If you were able to get to John Hopkins and Dr. Maumanee, would it be such a tough decision or would it still be a judgement call?

Would it cost more to have her do the surgery?

I have no idea how much it would cost. I haven't looked into it.
I'm sending her my medical records, to see what she has to say. I'll keep you all updated.
It's always a tough decision working with tissue that falls apart like anyone with Marfan's has, but you just kind of go on percentages and how much it bugs me right now.
I'm wearing a prophylactic lens to see how well the surgery might help me this week. It's a contact lens that covers my iris. Looks really weird!!! Like I have a wad of gum in my eye! But-- It will help me decide.
Thank you for your concern! I'm sure it will all work out fine-- as long as I can get Bill to tie those knots for me! :smile:
