Default Gas Prices

What's everyone paying for gas? 1.45 a gallon here in Damascus. Heard on the news that it was quiet a bit more else where. Safeway and 76 having a mini gas war.

There was a report on a local news web site saying that gas regular unleaded gas would be $2.00 or more by this summer.

$2? Is that before or after the sky falls?

I have no idea what I pay for gas....when I hit empty, I fill up. Dont really have too much opportunity to shop around when you're on 1/8 of a tank in a Durango.

It's been crazy at work this week. I've been delivering mega-quantities of heating oil and diesel fuel 'cuz our customers are scrambling to beat the price spikes. A lot of bulk plants and gas stations ran their tanks down to the bottom trying to hold on until prices level off. When they realized that prices were still climbing (every 2 hours on Monday) they were forced to buy, causing more spikes. :depressed:

Yeah, but once we take Baghdad and kick ol' Saddam's butt out, Bush will give his oil cronies the oil fields and we'll buy gas for 25 cents a gallon!!!

Just kidding.

I predict that once it gets above $2.00 a gallon it will stay there. We are being prepped for this the same way we were prepped for over a dollar a gallon in the early seventies.

Its supply and demand. Big Oil controls the supply and the White House. We get to pay the price for not paying attention.

We're not completely helpless. If we all called a general strike and quit buying gas it would drop like a rock.
The trick is to get everybody on the same page with the same agenda, which is why it will never happen.

Dog,
It's only one way so far. I'd go for a few day boycot of the gas stations. Sure seems like prices go up fast and down slow.

Lunker,
I will defend the President when someone posts BS. Notice that I don't dispute what you have posted here. Another one is his saying thad dividens are dbl taxed. WHAT A CROCK!!!
You can use the same logic to say that my pay has been Bazilion taxed. By not taxing dividens the Ultra rich in this country will skate.
