Default Canvas

Anyone here done a canvas top for their boat? How hard is it to bend aluminum or stainless to make a simple frame and then design a cover? Looking to extend my hard top to the transom. I also want to make the 3 sides roll up for fishing, getting in/out, etc.

Has anyone here undertaken a task like this? Approximate costs? I found marine canvas and clear vinyl at a local fabric store. Not sure where to buy frame tubing and joints.

I'm not finding much on the net about this.

Thanks

I really don'tthink this is a do it yourself kind of project, personally. Call John Haxton in Clackamas. Awesome work and reasonable proce, plus quick and a nice guy too.

The problem I had was trying to sew the marine canvas. You can't use your run of the mill, home variety sewimg machine.

Yeah, it sounded like it might be a little beyond my skills. I found his number and will give them a call.

Thanks!
