Pop's is out there with Duckcall and his friend Larry putt'n the hurt on the Sturgeon today.

Three keepers to the boat so far as of 12 noon. Many tripples on, some doubles and lots of nice fish coming to the boat.

The joke is on the sturgeon this year, they all moved down to prepare for the smelt...........and no smelt! I'm sure there are some hungry fishies out there right now!

A friend just called who has a window view on the willy tells me he is watching a boat hammering sturgeon.

what kinda of boat is your pop in?

wonder if it is the same one.

18' :blush: Alumiweld flat bottom open boat. 3 fishers but I cannot give you the exact location since a sturgeon derby is on next week. Actually it's not a big secret hole but ya know how it is for the next week or so. Zippppppppp!

I have a hunch that they are one and the same and didn't want to reveal any "secret" (if there are such things on the willy anymore) holes.

Okay here it is. 52, 46, 45 and a bunch more keepers released today. I think they had way to much fun together. Congrats to Larry K on his first keeper Sturgeon. [img]graemlins/applause.gif[/img] And Duckcall, thanks for keeping Dad in line today. Somebody has to when I'm not around.

BTW First Keeper for Duckcall too. Way to go Ron!!!!

Hi guys, my son is in town from Nashville,Tn. for 3 more days. He is an Oregon kind of guy but his job takes him away from home for most of the year. We wanted to do a Gator trip before he leaves & i think tomorrow will be our best chance. What do you think? Should we go St. Johns ramp, Chinook, Scappoose, Gilbert R.? he he he. Ah ya caught me on that one. They are micro clones and the boat is an experimental craft that looks 18" in the surface but with stealth technology, smoke and mirror it is truly and 18' sled. :blush: :grin: Obviously I did not get my 40 winks last night.

Man...The gator fishing is heating up...Can't wait to get out of here (San Jose) and back to Portland tomorrow...

Man, did I evedr say it sucks down here...It took 35 minutes to get 3 miles to my hotel...
