Default Searching on Ebay?????????

I've been searching on Ebay a few times for around a n hour till I get severly frustrated. I've been looking for boat motors and fishfinders.

I type in "BOAT MOTORS" or any other form of this description I can think of and always get vintage catalogs or adds.

I type in "FISH FIDERS" or other descriptions I can think of. What I get is sombodies drawings of fish.

I've been doing all my searches in Sporting goods and fishing. Is there a secret "BOAT MOTOR" or "FISH FINDER" button?

Thanks for any help

Seriously, try typing in Lowrance X-15 or some other known fish finder. Then once it pops up, select search for similar items. Might work. Also Born to Fish suggested misspelling some of the words. It's worked for me before.

Go to eBaymotors.com and do the search there. Sometimes you do not always get x-referenced to the motors site. All propellars and boat motor parts are also on the ebaymotors.com site.

Just another hint, try putting an * after a specific boat motor, the asterax will bring up all things that have the words in the. That way if people use an abreviation for a motor, it will still come up. This might make your search more frusteraing, but it might make it easier as well. I figured its worth a shot. Lots of times that I look up something very specific, i dont get anything, but by adding the * I will get a few results to my specific search

Good luck

You can narrow it down even more, there's a lot of stuff out there.

Try something like

"Johnson outboard 50HP"

FireDog

How did you do that? I typed in the same thing (Outboard motors) and got nothing but vintage adds. Thanks
