My guess is that the day it goes over, they either won't be counting that day, or won't update the recording, or ???

Re: Guess When - First Willamette Falls Springer
I'll take never. Springers don't exist. They are imaginary creatures, figments of our tortured imaginations. If it weren't for photshop, we wouldn't be feeling this pain...

Re: Guess When - First Willamette Falls Springer

Re: Guess When - First Willamette Falls Springer
There are some big pig native steelies in the Santiams, could be those, doin' the splish splash. It's too early for any salmon up that high. Give it at least another month. They should start over the falls anytime however.

Re: Guess When - First Willamette Falls Springer
They didn't count a summer run Steelhead over the falls until march 1st which means those fish won't get here until around this next Wednesday to Sunday. If what they say is true that it takes 10 to 14 days for them to make it up to Jefferson from the falls.
Yet they've been catching summers for about a week ot two now.
Just my .02 worth.

Re: Guess When - First Willamette Falls Springer
That was my thought too, SKP. I'd suppose they were big pig steeliies... I just get a little frustrated with the counting process sometimes.

Re: Guess When - First Willamette Falls Springer
You are all wrong, The first springer has already passed over the falls. I know of one that was hooked above the falls already. 2 people who know thier stuff both saw the fish before the hook pulled out.
I will make my guess now. Febuary 15th!!!!!!!!!!!
As for Summer runs, they started showing in Febuary also.
