Re: White House in the pocket of BIG BUSINESS?
As usual Speyfly you interpret only through your liberal perspectives.....
"Under the salary test, last updated in 1975, workers earning more than $8,060 a year are exempt from overtime if they meet the other criteria as well. The administration wants to raise this amount."
Duh!

Thumper, are you just paranoid? Where in my post did I present to you my opinion, my position or anything else? I simply asked a question and was looking for some input. Sir, you are the one that is reading things into it that are not there!

Re: White House in the pocket of BIG BUSINESS?
I don't think that they're "in the pocket" of big business, like being paid off or anything, but I feel that this administration thinks the best way to run the country is to let business do it.
I know, kinda sounds the same, but one implies the administration is being crooked, and the other implies it's being totally honest....it just thinks really weird.

That's true...Bush wouldn't diddle with something so petty. He has his sight on things much more lucrative!

At least Enron isn't aiming missiles with our technology, given to them by Clinton in exchange for illegal campain contributions, at us.

<font size="2" face="verdana,arial,helv">Hmm...never heard this before. I heard that our media are not doing too well these days, but it sounds like they missed this big time. Well, as soon as you let us know the facts, I'll contact Ken Starr and let him jump on it ASAP.
So please, give us where you read this???

Well, I guess it should be easy to find then. Give me just one little evidence of it.

Re: White House in the pocket of BIG BUSINESS?
Look it up your self. I posted several links a few weeks ago but you must have had your head in "The Progressive" or "Utne Reader" and not looked at the facts.
PS: Your mind is closed and it's a waste of my time dealing with you.

Re: White House in the pocket of BIG BUSINESS?
In his state of the Union Address the President vowed to send 16 Billion (8 times our State's shortfall) to Africa to combat aides.
Very compassionate, hardly conservative.
Was this vow made to help the Africans with aides or was it 16 Billon capital investment to the Pharmacuetical industry?
Cynical minds want to know.

Re: White House in the pocket of BIG BUSINESS?
Keta,
I'm sure you don't equate unproven accusations with the millions lost by ordinary investors in Enron. You must be outraged by the lack of acountability that continues with regard to Worldcom, Global Crossing and many more public companies that have taken peoples 401Ks down. If not, I suggest that your moral judgement is is questionable. If you would favor stealing peoples retirement funds, you would easily be a poacher/ snagger. I don't believe that you are, or that naiive. Or callus.

Re: White House in the pocket of BIG BUSINESS?
Keta, when you make an unreasonable claim, the burden of proof is on the one making the claim to provide the evidence. What you have described above would be illegal for anybody, which should be prosecuted.
If Clinton can be impeached for a sexual senenigan and trying to cover it up, then he should be in jail for selling a missile technology for a campaign contribution.
So go ahead and back up your outlandish claim that Clinton was responsible for the Chinese acquiring the missile technology.

Re: White House in the pocket of BIG BUSINESS?
Dog,
I think that he was going to force the drug companies to supply generic drugs at a "fair price" to these Africian countries. I might be wrong here.
Trophy,
Try doing a search for "Loral" in the general discution board. There are others too. And you idiots can't get it through your thick skulls that it wasn't sex, IT WAS LYING IN A SWORN DEPOSITION!
A link for the ignorant

Re: White House in the pocket of BIG BUSINESS?
Clinton lied.
He was impeached.
The government spent 70 million dollars to prove more wrong doing on the part of the Clintons. One person was proven guilty of accepting a minor favor.
The new administration approved only 3 million to investigate 9/11. The administration includes several felons and some convicted felons that were released due to a technicality. Now I think the point is obvious.
The Bush family is part of the Carnegie Group.
The Carnegie Group controls a major portion of the international energy alliance. The Bush family IS a major part of big business. They don't sit in anyone's pocket. They are the pants everyone else sits in!

Re: White House in the pocket of BIG BUSINESS?
Keta,
I guess you believe everything you read, but trust me when I say that Elvis is dead.
Where is your sense of reason and logic? Do you really believe that the media and the Justice Dept. will drop a possible criminal case just because the president said so?
Also remember that it's the Republicans who are blamed for being closed minded. Democrats are progressive. Try to remember that if you can handle it.

Re: White House in the pocket of BIG BUSINESS?
Keta, I do respect all of the things you have put up on the fish board. Thank you.
Why would you put up a 2 year old link that has been disproved 14 months ago? That really does not seem in character given your accuracy in most issues.
Frankly, I don't agree with either/any party all the time.
It shouldn'd be about parties, its about issues!

Scrod,
Where is your proof? Some coverups on the Loral scandal and fines. Nothing else. The reason the posts are old is there is nothing newer.
I don't realy like Bush Jr. much either.

Re: White House in the pocket of BIG BUSINESS?
UL,
I'm out
Progresive is double speak for socialist.
Most liberals are for "diversity" if it is what they believe in, if it isn't then they slam and insult those that don't see the world thru their rectom.
Scrod,
Heads should roll and people should go to jail for the things that CEO's and Directors did during the Clinton Administration (and Bush Administration)

Re: White House in the pocket of BIG BUSINESS?
Yikes!! I hate to pile on a friend but.............
Progressive.
Communist.
Socialist.
Liberal.
All four very different words with very different meanings yet you seem to want to make them all one in the same.
Really confuses an argument.

Re: White House in the pocket of BIG BUSINESS?
Dog,
I got jammed between a herd of pregnant ewes and a barn support post and my leg got streightened out. Then I was forced to work on Nerta's boat for two days I got even with him by drinking his good beer.
We installed another battery and a selector switch and did some retro-cobbling on the other wiring (soldered terminals, put liquid electrical tape and shrink tubing on the main wiring) One more upgrade and we are ready to fish
PS: Job interview

Ouch!! That had to hurt..
When you guys get that boat ready to roll you should drag if over here for some steelheading. The river is dropping as we type. Grantpsastor saw 10 fish caught yesterday between White Horse and Robertson's.
Good luck with your job interview!
