Default Turkey/Crab Cooker Sale

I stopped at the Clackamas Home Depot last night and they were closing out their turkey cookers.

30qt pot, with high pressure burner, injector, thermometor $25

The 34 qt set up was $40

3 gallon jugs of peanut oil $8

The only thing I couldnt find was the BTU rating on the burner. It only said "High Pressure, High BTU"

Would make somebody a great crab cooker for $25 if you didnt have one.

I have a turkey boiler and they work great. I got a tip here for anyone interested:
Peanut oil is a must but is expensive. You can save some money by using half peanut oil and half canola. DO NOT USE vegetable oil, yuck. You can get a real good deal on a five gallon jug of canola at United Grocers. Get yourself a funnel seave and pour the oil back in the jug for later use. The funnel seave will clean particles out of the oil and you can reuse the oil several times. Enough about the oil, heres the tip I really like: After removeing the turkey from the oil, let drain and season the skin. Then wrap tightly in tin foil and let rest for 30 minutes or more. When you unwrap that turkey you will think you were in heaven. The turkey will be the moistest bird you ever had and the meat will just be falling off the bone.
