Make Fishing A Family Adventure
You could take the family to a crowded fishing spot where everyone in elbow to elbow and you can't turn around without seeing your own backside, but why?
Consider a trip east this spring or summer. There is plentiful fishing and camping available. If its solitude you seek its here or a little more accomidating its also here.
History everywhere you turn. Cities of 10,000 that are gone, a jail that dates back to the 1800's. You can even find granite paths worn from waggon wheel's.
Oh yah, and the fishing and hunting, it doesn't get any better. I have found on the internet history on these places. Watson, Malheur City and Westfall. The only one still occupied is Westfall with a population of about 30.
Westfall has a cemetary where you can find wooden grave markers from the early 1800's. So, if its a family adventure you are after with history of the state and of course fishing.....Waggons East.
If you have any questions about the above mentioned areas or other cool spots my area drop me a line.
