Default Downriggers on 19ft NR Scout?

Anybody had electric Scotty's put on there Scout? I am wanting to go fish Pt. Defiance and other areas for salmon in the sound, just curious if anybody had them installed and what the total cost ended up being. Thanks

Default Re: Downriggers on 19ft NR Scout?

I have Penn manuals that I bought 30 years ago and have been mounted on three different boats. My current boat is a 2005 NR Seahawk. Last year, I bought one Scotty electric and I kept one of the Penns. I've had the Penns for a long time, so I kept one for sentimental value I guess.

Easy to install yourself, just follow the directions. The electric hookups are easy and I'm certainly no electrician. The Seahawk comes with nice alum pads for the Downrigger to mount on. I dont know about the Scout. I have two batteries and I would recommend that with electric DRs. Another thing I would also recommend, Scotty makes locks for the downrigger that are well worth the extra 40 bucks.
