Great. That's gonna stir up the pro-life crowd.

Re: I came too multiply
1pump: Got a problem with the pro-life crowd? Just remember, thirty to fifty years from now my five (probably more by then) kids are going to be making a significantly greater contribution to YOUR social security, medicaid, and taxes during your retirement than somebody else's zero, 1, or two kids. And when you count the grandkids at the tail end of that time period, it gets even bigger. And I'm doing this for you out of my own pocket. I pay for the kids now, you will reap the benefits later. And don't tell me you're paying for their education. They're homeschooled. I foot the whole bill. That's extra bucks for somebody else's kids in the public schools. I think you should say thank you, rather than wondering if we'll get riled up.

Re: I came too multiply
Wood, would that be a result of actually fishing with a fisherperson, or trying to discuss nonfishing issues on a message board with a fisherperson?
Theres a few in the crowd I would actually like to fish with, but could never bring my self to admit it here.
My first trip with two other members:
One right wing , one left, and me the conservative in between them to call the fight unfair.

Re: I came too multiply
Happybrew,
No, I don't have a problem with the pro-life crowd as long as they don't shoot people or firebomb buildings. But hey, every movement has its rogue members.
For the record, I was just kidding. I am inclined to give you the argument you're obviously looking for, but after reading another thread regarding this sensitive matter, I'll go with the status quo and leave it alone.
And also for the record: My 3 sisters and I all went to Catholic schools. That means that my parents footed the bill and paid property taxes on top of it. So you can knock off the holier-than-thou crap. And in case you're wondering, I've got 2 kids, have never paid for, caused, or consented for anyone to have an abortion. It's too easy to avoid that situation in the first place (i.e. don't get pregnant).
That's all I'm going to say on the subject. Any further attempts to goad me into an argument will be fruitless.

Re: I came too multiply
1pump, not trying to goad you into an argument, just trying to point out that there are good points to having pro-lifer's around, that's all. That's why I ended the post with  rather than So

Re: I came too multiply
Sorry, HappyB, I was a little cranky after a miserable night at work in the rain. Guess I missed your  From what I've read here lately, I'm lucky to have a job, so less :depressed: and more  should be in order.
BTW, you're home-schooling 5 kids? Parenting is the toughest job out there (providing it's done right) and you're at a level that's beyond my capabilites. A round of applause for your commitment to your kids. And I ain't just saying that to smooth things over. I'm not the apologetic type.

Re: I came too multiply
My wife is the one who deserves the round of applause. She's wonderful! And she did natural childbirth with each one! I try to give her a day off, but she never wants one. She's truly the glue that holds it all together.
