bin Laden Alive or Dead?
Is Osama alive or dead?
I heard an argument that he was dead and that the US was just covering the fact up. It was said that if he were dead he would be made into a matyr and then instead of one bin Laden we would have many more. This makes sense, but what do you think?

Alive and kicking. Only so much can be done by air. He was probably gone right before the special forces were pounding ground. The guy carrying his cell phone was detained. I guess we were tracking him by his cell phone being used, only it wasn't him. In reality who really knows, but his cronies.

Re: bin Laden Alive or Dead?
Unfortunately, there appears to be pretty good evidence that he is alive, with the recent statements and audio tape sent to Al Jazeera, the Qatari tv station. Though it is interesting that no video tape has surfaced.

Re: bin Laden Alive or Dead?
I am guessing he is alive and well.
This is one issue that bothers me about Iraq so much.
We haven't finished the last job and now are embarking on another.

SD - Yes, it would be nice if we could take these things one at a time. But back in 1941 we didn't ignore the Japanese until after we'd defeated **** Germany - we took on both at once. No reason we can't do the same now.

Re: bin Laden Alive or Dead?
If he 's dead the U.S. would have a heck of a time convincing congress to continue the terrorism budgets. They may say he's still alive to keep the money flowing.

Re: bin Laden Alive or Dead?
He's alive alright. Bush is just trying to take our mind off of him, so we can catch him off guard and either kill or capture him. I do believe he will kill him.
We were told from the beginning that it was not going to be a 100 hour war, like the last one. But a long ongoing war. Baiting and chasing.

Re: bin Laden Alive or Dead?
I've heard people saying he is so radical that he'll die for his cause. No way, if that was the case he'd been on those planes. He'd rather sit back and look like a god and direct the radicals.
There's enough wackos in that part of the world that he's got all kinds of hiding spots.

Re: bin Laden Alive or Dead?
Even if we had his head in a box the guv'ment would not tell us......and for good reason. First, he would be a martyr and we don't need that. Second, nature hates a vacuum and some fool would jump up to take his place. Third, it would focus the hatred of Islam on the U.S., as if we weren't doing that already!

Re: bin Laden Alive or Dead?
The bin Laden family and the Bush family have been involved in many business deals. George W was financed by the bin Ladens in an unsucessful oil venture. In the hours after 9/11 the bin Laden family living in the US were allowed to board a Saudi plane and leave the country when no other civilian aircraft were allowed in US airspace. The were never allowed to be questioned by investigators All this is public record. It is possible that the focus is not on the bin Laden name because of Bush family loyalty to the bin Laden family.

Re: bin Laden Alive or Dead?
He is probably sitting somewhere live and well thinking to himself how stupid American's are and planning his next attack.
