Reminds me of a story a friend in Ketchikan told me. When he was young they lived in Hydaberg , on POW Isl. They were beach combing on one of the outside islands when they came across a baby killer whale on the beach and its parents frantically swiming back and forth off of the beach. Well they did what they felt was the right thing and got the little orca back into the water. The calf then went shooting down the beach and then back out of the water. They attempted to save the baby two more times before the adult Orcas fianly caught the Dahl porpoise and killed it.
