2004 Zihwatanejo surf fishing Video Clips!

Below are a few more pictures of the beach surf fishing last week in Zihwatanejo, Mexico that I hadn't posted. Even though the offshore fishing was slow as the water had turned over just before we arrived, the surf fishing was a blast! We landed a couple dozen big jacks throwing spoons in the surf. This was at Saliditas (sp?) beach about 30 minutes North of Zihwatinejo - it is a surfer hangout.

Below are a couple video clips of the surf fishing. Bruce and Kieth are getting pounded by the waves pretty good in the first video clip. At the end Bruce dives for cover and Kieth is running for his life! In the second clip make sure you watch Bruce take the suicide plunge on the first wave!

Something tells me I would be soon fishing beyond the breakers, perhaps a tad south of America, if I tried that!

Brad...I was a little unclear on the "pacific moonrise" comment. Was that referring to the glory of Bruce's melon emerging over the wave or the apparent 'white ring' around his waist while dancing in the surf!?! :shocked:

Fastwater - seemed like we got a hookup everytime we got a wave set that died down enough to make a few decent casts in a row. I probably landed 6 and lost another 3-4 on the last day we were there.
