Default Drug Recall/ must read

Go to http://www.fda.gov/cder/drug/infopage/ppa/default.htm

There is a recal for certain drugs that are very dangerous to you and especially your children.

This is old news, but I guess it's never too late. Check any old bottles of Triaminic, or the generic equivalent. It's been off the shelves for about a year.

Yes i realize it is old news. But if just one person reads the post and gets rid of old medicine (and we all have it in our cupboards)that may contain the bad ingrediants then the post has done its job. I would be willing to bet that there are a lot of people who have not heard of this or they had forgotten about it.

Cagey - Sorry about doubling you up. I was in such a hurry to get it posted that I didn't read first. Maybe it is a good thing to have both topics goig though, as this is some scary stuff.

You both must have the same folks forwarding you stuff.

While this information is true, the recall is actually over two years old and any products that people have in their house with this drug are most likely past their stale date anyway.

Good info though.

I got it from Arizona and i have to be honest. I had forgotten about it and posted it prior to checking the web site myself. The person i received it from is very reliable so i did not question it. Oh well at least we got to talk to each other.

Don't worry, the abuse will stop in five or six months.

You meant well, no harm, no foul.

Further, the actual incidence of problems with this drug was extremely low. Yes, it was there, but it was low. I'm kinda annoyed that the drug was taken off the market, as the combination of it and tylenol was the best medicine for the sinus headaches I get.

Now all you can get is pseudoephedrine, which gives me unpleasant side effects.
