I heard that the person running this SUV add drives a Mercedes Benz 500SL or something. Not really an economy car is it, easy to bag on SUVs when you roll around in a 100,000 dollar German gas hawg.

The person behind the SUV ad is Arianna Huffington, wife of the guy who tried to buy his way into the legislature, I believe as a republican, from southern california.

Hey, it's 4:30 and I gotta go to work and support some terrorists. I have to go SW Portland and gas up a cardlock on Macadam Av so the fine folks heading home to Lake Oswego in their SUV's can get fuel. I might as well come clean and grow a 3' ZZ Top beard and wrap a Taliban turban around my noggin. No use continuing the charade as an American Taxpayer and erstwhile ifisher. The Infidels are onto me. Allah akhbar!

I think the SUV one is kind of sarcastic comment on the drug campaign. Oil probably provides as much support to terrorism as drugs, but ? ? ? ? ?

I don't see the connection between the guy "raising dope" (is that what he says? I listened 3 times and can't tell) and money to terrorists. Help me.

The possible connection is that the Taliban used to make money off of opium growing, and the Taliban supported Bin Laden. Therefore, of course, your purchase of american grown pot supports terrorists.

The SUV connection is also pretty weak. I think it goes like, I don't like your SUV, your SUV uses gas, gas comes from oil, some oil comes from arabia, some arabians get oil money, and some of those give money to Al Qaeda, therefore your SUV and not my honda supports terrorism.

The SUV ad was done at least partly in parody of the drug ad.

Hum.....My wife drives a mini-van with a third row seat, usually empty... 2 kids in the forward back seat.... Nobody in the front passenger seat (OK, occasionally the dog), not usually anything more than some flares and a quart of oil in the cargo area.......OH NO...I'm a terrorist!
