Default An alternative to measure 28

It seems that the system that is in the most dire straights of funding are the schools. I feel that it is just for us all to help with this cost. I also feel that those who choose to burden the system should provide additional funds to support the system. I wonder what this plan would generate in revenue. If a family chooses to have one child they get the standard deduction for that child, if they have another they loose the deduction for the first and get no deduction for the second, if they have a third, thay have to pay the tax on the value of the deduction for the first, and so on for additional children. We as a society for some reason find it necessary to promote procreation. I find it to be getting pretty darn crowded. There needs to be some deterant to clutering the environment with more people. Those who can afford to pay there own way can go for it but at least a policy like I propose would force those who burden the system the most to pay for what they burden us with.

Great Idea! While your at it let's tax anybody with more than one car 3 times more than anybody with only one car (they pollute you know) and we could give a tax break to anybody who doesn't own a car at all. And how about we tax people more if they own more than one gasoline powered item (lawnmower, blower, ATV, boat motor, you know) polluters you see. Oh, oh, how about lets get money from people that get more than one traffic ticket in their lifetime (that costs us all money too you know). And lets tax people more if they work in low-wage jobs (they don't pay their fair share you know). How about we tax people if they live in a house with more than 500 square feet per person. Its just a waste past that amount and it uses so much more resources than they need. How about taxing people on the amount of lawn they have? Chemicals and run-off cost the rest of us so much in sewer and environmental costs.

While I understand your basic objection, your solution lacks forethought. These are the same children that will find the cure for cancer, find clean power sources that don't pollute, discover new drugs that will save your life, pay taxes through their wages that will fund your retirement. Think about that part.

I like it!!

I have no kids...so I will cut my taxes by not paying for schools.

I usually drive the same roads to work, leaving about 60,000 roads untouched...so I can cut my taxes by not paying for upkeep on those roads.

I rarely speed...so I shouldnt have to pay for police.

Cool!! NO TAXES!!!

The trick is....fix the problem. Dont shift it around, dont pass 28 as a temporary "fix". Fix the damn problem.
