Default Rail Mount Rod Holders

OK OK OK i know i need to attach a picture of what i am looking for but right now i dont have one. I cant for the life of me find a replacement rail mount rod holder. the ones i have are probably mid 80's? they are cast with a roughly 3/8 in shaft that comes out from the middle of the tube and fits into the mount on the rail and then is either cotter keyed in or has a small screw that holds it in. any help would be great. Thanks a ton guys and gals.

Google Scotty down riggers and look for the #245 or whatever. I know the 245 rail is for 1& 1/4" pipe but they make a narrower one too!

Are you replacing the whole thing, or trying to find parts to fix something on the originals?

I haven't seen that type in years. FYI they break from electrolisis. Don't aks how I know this. Best to just bite the bullet and replace with new. Then you won't run the risk of loosing stuff.

Fireguy, is this the kind of rod holder you are asking about?

If it is, I can help you. PM me.

tried to copy an image but it didn't work.
First thing that came to mind when I read your request was the "Down-East" rod holders, made of cast aluminum. if that's it, do a search for them. lots of sources out there.
