the closest lake to you would probably be black lake. others to consider would be mcintosh sp.? which is SE of olympia. other choices to consider would be to head north and fish one of the dozens of lakes in pierce county. some can be fished from shore and some would require a boat for best success. we used to hammer fish over at american lake and also on spanaway lake when i was younger and they are probably only about 45mins from olympia. black lake has a resort that rents boats and also has a fishing dock. good luck
