Default Bow mount question

On a 24v system do I just run the + and - wires from the motor to 1 battery then add 2 jumper wires to connect the 2 batteries together?

Assuming you have two 12v batteries, connect a jumper between the + on one battery and the - on the other, then wire your motor to the remaining terminals ( a + on one battery and a - on the other). I also used a re-setting circuit breaker per the manual that came with my trolling motor. Now go slay the fish.

There's a little box that says something like "Short Stopper", would that be a circuit breaker?

Ripnlips,
I don't know if you have finished your project yet, but this might help. There are to ways to hook up batteries(series circuit, parallel circuit) K S B has explained it right. All the systems I have installed I got a 50amp in line breaker in addition to what I got in the kit. (napa, schucks, etc.) make sure you get batteries that are specific for this, a standard battery won't last. Caution, make sure this is a completely independent system from the rest of your boat. Still sounds like you need a guest 2611 dual bank onboard charger with an ac adapter plug
