Default fly rod identification please

I was given a rod with the following on it

"9' 4/5 wt FFS Classic " It has fugi guides and a walnut reel seat

Anyone know who made it? It is very well made.

Possibly built by the guys at The Fly Fishing Shop in Welches years ago. They used Fisher blanks mostly when they turned out custom rods, the rod was a dark grey color.

You have a pic of it?

Wow, what a gift!

Those older Fischer Company blanks from the late 1970s into the '80's were some of the best for spring creek, slack line casting. I've got a 8'3" 4/5 that is still my first choice for fussy spring creek trout

That's one of The Fly Fishing Shop's rods, I recognize the steelhead fly in gold paint.

Should be an awesome rod! I built a 10' 7wt I use for summer steelhead, and an 8' 3/4 wt on Fisher blanks in the mid-80's. Both are great rods.

You 9' 4/5 is a great outfit, congrats!
