So far this year I've fished at Merwin, and read the reports at Swift but has anyone fished at Yale this year?

I haven't personally, but my uncle and family have and he told me the kokanees were both big and numerous. Worth the effort. He fished from a boat.

Went up to Swift last Friday...

When we were leaving about 2pm and driving by the lot for Yale, there was one trailer in the parking lot, and I'm assuming the boat from the trailer, was trolling in front of the boat ramp. That was it. We didn't see anyone else on the entire drive down the north side of the resevoir.

Fished 5/8 lots of fish but very small; did catch 2 nice bows. Will try Merwin next week; supposed to be bigger fish.

I was thinking about heading up to Yale during the week myself but I've never fished it before... Either of you mind telling me what they were hitting?

Thank You!

Be very carefull and keep the speed down as there are a lot of floating limbs and some large half submerged logs; hitting one of those logs at high speed could ruin your day.

Went by Yale park yesterday and saw they are setting up the equipment they use to skim the floating debris from the lake; that is a good thing.

Fished Mother's Day. We ended up with 2 limits for the 2 of us. Small willow leaf fenders to a red wedding ring brass spinner tipped with power maggots or corn. No weight just straight 60-80ft back. Could of just been luck as it was our first time ever fishing for Kokes.....we found a new love and I added another species to the list. Largest was 14".
