Anyone know where I can find Coat-it for sale, in or near Salem?

I assume you are coating the bottom of your drift boat. I took my boat to one of those places that do spray on truck bed liners. I had him spray it smooth and it lasts forever and is very slippery

I too bought it at BiMart and cheap i think 19.99 a can.
However I put it on a aluminum boat and followed all directions including getting a acid etching kit to burn into the metal. Then the nutralizer to stop the etching. Lots of prep work. But after 2 years I have quite a few places that have fallen off some as big a 6" square or so.
The name brand stuff is Gluvit and runs about 50.00 a can. I wish I knew if I had spent the extra money if I would have got the same result.
Somtimes cheaper isnt the best choice.

Good luck with it DC

I had Gluvit on my fishrite driftboat and was happy with the way it endured several seasons. I had coat-it on my latest driftboat and was very disappointed. After only one season, it has chipped away in large areas and seams to be very brittle. I too followed the directions to a 'T'. If i was to do it all over again, would not recommend coat-it to anyone on a driftboat.

Well, it's not a drift boat.... just a little 15' open boat that we're going to use in Tillamook bay. It has a tiny little crack in the fiber glass and a couple different people have recommended it to put a seal over the top of it. Probably not the best way to go about it, but I've heard it works.
