My apologies, if necessary
Yesterday I posted a joke regarding an exciting new discovery of a chemical element named GOVERNMENTIUM.
I see where that thread has apparently been deleted and perhaps sent off to purgatory - and if so, I might soon follow.
If by chance this joke offended anybody, and that is the reason it no longer appears in archives, rest assured I meant no offence to any government employee. IT WAS A JOKE. I myself have been a federal government employee for the past 34+ years, and still am. I received the joke from other government employees and shared it with others - all career government employees who enjoyed the joke.
If no one complained, but a moderator removed it, then my message would be - lighten up. My God, I've seen some powerful personal bashing going on in many threads since joining up with Ifish.net, and I always exercised my right to ignore them and move on. End of sermon....bless you all.

Re: My apologies, if necessary
I see it now. This morning, before going to work, when I did a search on my member number it was nowhere to be found, I also did a subject search. Before I posted the apologies, I checked the archieves for yesterday and it didn't show up in the listings. Maybe I'm being punished by some unknown force and indeed will end up in purgatory. ....wonder how the fishing is down there?

GSA, if I told you that I'd have to kill you. Please, don't force me to do this with the holiday season coming on.

GSA, I'm with the National Park Service's Fire Management Program Center located at the National Interagency Fire Center in Boise.
Paid pyro.
Now that I've said that I'll need the street addresses of all who read this. Sorry, rules are rules.

Busy - you're right, in a way. The spelling depends on what door you enter by. I'll be going in via the back door.

Re: My apologies, if necessary
My wife would be so proud of me....I read this thing daily (hourly, she says) and I missed the whole thing. Post, poof, and repost.
The few, the proud, the clueless....
Maybe that's why I don't get offended easily; I usually don't know what they're talking about.

Re: My apologies, if necessary
Something ya all might just want to remember is that when looking for a post someone may be adding to it or editing it. Thus it would not show up for a period of time until the server caught up. This has happened to me a few times when looking for current posts. I think it happens more readily if a picture upload is in the works. My .02cents.

Re: My apologies, if necessary
Skein, you noticed that too...., interesting how that happens. It's ba-a-a-c-k.
Giz, ....
I apologize to my 4th grade teacher Mrs. Brown for my poor spelling - she had so much faith in me.
I apologize to whatever moderator I might have offended by any comments, past, present, and future (figure I need an Ace in the hole ).
I apologize to: __________________ (fill in the blank).
Oh yeh, before I forget, I apologize to my computer for typing in the word "butth**d" in an earlier thread - guess that word was more offensive than I had realized because it sent a tremor through the machine that apparently reached a moderator who ********'ed the word out. I'm so very very very sorry. :depressed:

Born: just funna with ya
Checking to see if Gov't employees know how to actually apologize.
But as usual, takes them a page when two words would do
Have a good Christmas season...
