Default Willy Salem 4/26/09; Smallie Swarm

I finally found some fish in the Salem area, after 5 skunks in the past 2 weeks. They were stacked up in a small slack water area off the main channel. The temp. was 52-53, and it was in about 5 feet of water. I caught or lost one on almost every cast (30-40 overall) and many were in the 2-3 lb. range. The biggest was about 18", and 2 broke me off. All were caught on Tiny or Baby Brush Hogs in browns and greens. I relocated here in Nov. and was just starting to think how much worse the bass fishing is in Salem compared to Portland. Pics when my girlfriend can get them off of her phone.

boblag,

Good job finding them. We just could not find them on Saturday.

Great....congrats. Glad you got it all put together.
Maybe a bottle of wine and some rose might free those fish pics up quicker.

Thanks, all.
Unfortunately, it looks like the pics are gonna be stuck on the phone for awhile, since neither of us has the right services to get them to a computer.
I was in a boat, but was parked in about a foot of water 10 feet from the bank, so a good cast would get to them.

Thanks for the info. I should try sneak away from the wife and son for a little while to hit it Saturday. Looks like the rain is supposed to hold off until Saturday evening. Friday should be awesome.
