Season’s greetings from all of us to our friends at Ifish!
Boy what a year!!!! I will try to make this brief as I can, but so many wonderful things have happened throughout the year. It's going to be difficult (Remember last year? Got a little long-winded. So sorry.) Well anyway, yes, my son Ryan was accepted to Stanford (thanks to his S.A.T.’s, G.P.A. and volunteer work.) He's really excelling in his molecular biology classes (not to brag, but all upper division as a freshman-- just the proud papa coming out!) Things are on track for his P.H.D. at Oxford in a couple of years.
Moving on, my daughter Amy is working at Stoell Rieves (the largest and most prestigious law firm in Portland) as their social director and spends her days entertaining their clients. (Her budget is over 100k per year.) She just got a real nice raise in salary, too. (Should make her Bimmer payments a little easier to handle.) She is still seeing Paul (yes that Paul, as in Microsoft.) They seem to be getting along well (Sharon thinks she hears wedding bells but I'm not sure) Amy is very picky.
Speaking of Sharon , yes, she bought the company she worked for. Remember, she was in negotiation last year at this time (I’ve got to add she got it at her price, even though they squealed like pigs, she had her ducks in a row, backed up by a huge line of credit). As expected, she turned it around, making a nice income. (7 figures) Sorry, not bragging just being a proud and loving hubby. As far as travel goes we have been homebodies this year. After last years around the world cruise we just thought we would stick inside the western hemisphere. (Ho hum, I miss Europe).
Speaking of moi, I have been enjoying my very early retirement, really doing nothing but working out (less than 6% body fat), fishing and taking a few people on guided fishing trips (yes, I got my license) and just enjoying family and friends. Sorry about being so brief but gotta run (I'm already late for fencing class!) So ‘til next year… Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
Love from the Boring Isbells (a.k.a. Buoyant Minnow and Mossy Bottom) … ha ha... J
Disclaimer: Have you ever gotten letters from friends and relatives who make you feel like your life is nothing compared to theirs? I thought we’d be creative and type one up ourselves and share this with you folks. It is a letter that we have actually sent to friends and family this Christmas who get the joke.
