Re: Favorite Christmas songs
I have to listen to canned Christmas music ten hours a day, four or five days a week from Thanksgiving through New Years. Bah! Humbug!
Although I do dig Bing Crosbys' "White Christmas" and the duet he did with David Bowie "Little Drummer Boy".

Re: Favorite Christmas songs
I like too many to list, but I do have a couple to list that I can't stand:
1. Feliz Navidad
2. Simply Having a Wonderful Christmas Time? - Paul Mccartney.

Re: Favorite Christmas songs
I really enjoy some of the old classics like Bing Crosby's "White Christmas" and Andy Williams' "It's the Most Wonderful Time of the Year". My wife just melts when she hears Josh Groban sing "O Holy Night". I also enjoy Manheim Steamroller and Trans-Siberian Orchestra. TSO does a version of "Carol of the Bells" with Metallica. It is great. Don Henley/The Eagles "I'll Be Home for Christmas" is good. Jim Brickman, Martina McBride, Amy Grant, David Foster, and Randy Travis also do some nice Christmas music.

Re: Favorite Christmas songs
Oh Holy Night
Joy to the World
Silent night
White Christmas
Its beginning to look a lot like Christmas.
I love Christmas songs. I start singing them in September. Kind of goofy I guess.

Re: Favorite Christmas songs
For all you Christmas music lovers in the Portland area. If you didn't know, 106.7 FM is playing Christmas music 24/7 thru Christmas. They start it every year on Thanksgiving Day. Lots of the old favorites and the new stuff too.

Thanks Sturg! Doc Shooter has finally confirmed that I have that most chronic and debilitating of all conditions aflicting the middle aged individuals among us!! That fiasco of earlier this morning was clearly result of sympton #6!! It's so nice to know that we're all headed downhill so fast!

Re: Favorite Christmas songs
Adeste Fideles, Silent Night, O Holy Night, Gesu Bambino, Ave Maria, Panis Angelicus, Vivaldi's Gloria and Te Deum.
Pavaroti's Chrismas album has many of these.

Re: Favorite Christmas songs
My favorite is anything playing softly enough I can't hear it!
I'm like MadMikey. I'm forced to listen to canned xmas tunes from Thanksgiving to New Years every year. I used to enjoy a little of it on xmas eve. But not any more.
I do like Manheim Steamroller though. That hasn't been spoiled for me yet!
