Re: 33 small mouth bass today (photos)
Great day Roger, sounds like you got into them good! I have never heard of going to 4lb test for smallys, i cant imagine the water conditions waranted it? If you were dropp shotting, or shaky head fishing, 6 -8 will work fine everytime! Dont wanna give them gold ones any more then you have to, they will break you off everytime~! Congrats on the great fishing!

Re: 33 small mouth bass today (photos)
I just could not get them to hit my bait with heavier line. They liked it slow and life like. I would rather use 8 pound test but the conditions would not let me. I got three bass on 8 pound test and the rest of 4 pound test.
We will get several days of sun this week and I can switch to 8 pound test, I hope. I had 4 pound test on my ultra light rod and I got most of the bass using it .
Roger

I even moved to 4 pound test to get more bites and did not break any off.

Re: 33 small mouth bass today (photos)
I went out and tried Hebb Park and then moved to Willamette park, skunked at both. ;/ 5th time in a row so far going out. Gotta get myself an 09'er!
Very nice job though Roger, and I'm glad you managed to pull in today... more fish than I did last year.

Re: 33 small mouth bass today (photos)
If I got the same fish a few times they all count at one more fish landed each time. I have got the same small mouth two times in a day several times. but never 33 times in a day .
