Default Fishing on the Siletz or Drift Creek

I am going over to the central coast this weekend, staying at Lincoln City. I was thinking about trying steelhead fishing on the Siletz or Drift Creek. I have never fished either before. I will be bank fishing. Do any of you have any suggestions about where to go or what to use? Thanks in advance.

For bank fishing on the Siletz, the gorge may be your best bet. I am unsure of numbers of fish up there and the numbers of people, but I am also unfamiliar with any decent bank access on the lower river. Haven't fished Drift creek

Better watch what these rains do...

Good Luck...

Drift creek is full of nates as far as I know. Its a great stream to fish, but no hathery. Killer for fall nooks.
I would try the siletz for keepers.
