Prineville, Ochoco, Crooked River
Headed over to fish at Ochoco, or, Prineville, and am looking for reports. Never fished any of these places before. We are targeting trout, but anything else is ok too. Any other locations we could hit in that area? Thanks for your help. Fishy

Ochoco Res. is a good trout fishery- bank or boat. If you have a boat, go about as far up as you can and float or fly fish in the willows. Trolling is good for holdover fish. Nice size and good eating.

Re: Prineville, Ochoco, Crooked River
I fished Ochoco on Monday. We got a late start but managed 4 in the 16-18" range. Didn't see any other nets out, and the cleaning station was void of any tale tail signs of anything else being caught that day. It was slow, but if you put in the time the fish are good size and excellent eating. We were useing downriggers at a depth of 20-25'.

Thanks guy's for the info. I'm not pulling the sled over, so we will be bankies for the weekend. Any good locations for us on the above mentioned waters.

The area by the dam at Ochoco looks like a good bet. We saw alot of people bank fish there. Hope that helps...good luck!
