American Disasters!
AMERICAN DISASTERS - DON'T FORGET!
A little political review---time to think &
remember!!
After the 1993 World Trade Center bombing,
which
killed six and injured 1,000; President
Clinton
promised that those responsible would be
hunted
down and punished.
After the 1995 bombing in Saudi Arabia, which
killed
five U.S. military personnel; Clinton promised
that
those responsible would be hunted down and
punished.
After the 1996 Khobar Towers bombing in Saudi
Arabia, which killed 19 and injured 200 U.S.
military
personnel; Clinton promised that those
responsible
would be hunted down and punished.
After the 1998 bombing of U.S. embassies in
Africa,
which killed 224 and injured 5,000; Clinton
promised
that those responsible would be hunted down
and
punished.
After the 2000 bombing of the USS Cole, which
killed
17 and injured 39 U.S. sailors; Clinton
promised that
those responsible would be hunted down and
punished.
Maybe if Clinton had kept his promise, an
estimated
3,100 people in New York and Washington, D.C.
that
are now dead would be alive today.
AN INTERESTING QUESTION:
This question was raised on a Philly radio
call-in show.
Without casting stones, it is a legitimate
question.
There are two men, both extremely wealthy.
One
develops relatively cheap software and gives
billions
of dollars to charity. The other sponsors
terrorism.
That being the case, why is it that the
Clinton
Administration spent more money chasing down
Bill
Gates over the past eight years than Osama bin
Laden?
THINK ABOUT IT!
It is a strange turn of events. Hillary gets
$8 Million
for her forthcoming memoir. Bill gets about
$12 Million
for his memoir yet to be written. This from
two people
who have spent the past 8 years being unable
to recall
anything about past events while under oath!
INCREDIBLE AND GOLD STAR MOTHERS
Gold Star Mothers is an organization made up
of women
whose sons were killed in military combat
during service
in the United States armed forces. Recently a
delegation
of New York State Gold Star Mothers made a
trip to
Washington, DC to discuss various concerns
with their
elected representatives. According to
NewsMax.com
there was only one politician in DC who
refused to meet
with these ladies. Can you guess which
politician that
might be? Was it New York Senator Charles
Schumer?
Nope, he met with them. Try again. Do you know
anyone
serving in the Senate who has ever had
anything but
contempt for our military? Do you happen to
know the
name of any politician in Washington whose
husband
once wrote of his loathing of the military?
Now you're getting warm! You got it! None
other than
the Queen herself, Hilary Clinton. She refused
repeated
requests to meet with the Gold Star Mothers.
---Now--
please don't tell me you're surprised.
This woman wants to be president of the United
States--
and there is a huge percentage of the voters
who are
eager to help her achieve that.
Sincerely,
Cdr Hamilton McWhorter USN(ret)
P. S. Please forward this to as many people
as you can!
We don't want this woman to even THINK of
running
for President.

Re: American Disasters!
I read it in my email, so it MUST be true!
Nice to see that they're consolidating the garbage into single emails now. Maybe that will cut down on the traffic.
Gold Star Mothers Snubbing is FALSE.
While I'm not going to go back and verify the numbers displayed here, I find it shameful that someone would pin the loss of thousands of civilian lives on the Clinton Administration. The folks involved with those attacks have hated America for a LONG time. Have we forgotten which president was in charge when the US trained and supplied Osama and Co. to attack the Soviet Union during the Afghanistan war, or which president was in charge when we deposited our troops in Saudi Arabia during the Iraqi War (which is what REALLY ticked off Osama)?
Please, the redistribution of this email tripe (either through forwarded emails or distribution here) is counter-productive and helps plant a wedge between Americans. It is a tragedy that civilians died by the hands of terrorists, and it is horrible that nobody was able to detect it enough to stop it. However, aiding in the spread of this unsubstantiated and largely FALSE information can be damaging in its own right.
If you ever receive a forwarded email that contains a call to action (forward to everyone you know!), do the people on your email list a favor and check it's validity first. I cannot tell you how many of these things I have squashed over the years, and most of them (at least 98% of them) prove to be false.

Re: American Disasters!
I've done a quick search and am unable to find a specific figure as to how much was spent on the Microsoft antitrust trial, but I do know that Kenneth Star spent roughly $48 million on investigating Bill Clinton's extra-marital affairs.
With that said, there are two additional things that I will say. For one, if anyone would like links explaining the whole Microsoft antitrust case and why Microsoft's actions were bad business and bad for computer users in general, I'd be happy to dig some up for you if you don't want to find them yourself. Second, how much money has President Bush spent on looking for bin Laden at this point? Has he been found?
Heck, at one point the Saudi government HAD bin Laden in custody prior to 9/11, but it was deemed that he wasn't much of a threat so they let him go. Of course, it should be remembered that Secretary of State Gen Colin Powell gave the Taliban rulers of Afghanistan a check for $43 million in early 2001 for their help in the HUGELY successful (*snicker*) "War on Drugs". Even up until August of 2001 US officials were working with the Taliban leadership of Afghanistan to get them to allow the construction of an oil pipeline through their country to the Caspian Sea.
So, yet again, we cannot blame the Clinton Administration for what happened on 9/11. In reality we cannot blame Bush Jr., as this had been brewing for a LONG time.

Re: American Disasters!
Clinton was Not investigated for having extramarital affairs, he was investigated for lying under oath. Not only did he lie under oath he lied about lying under oath. The man was and still is a liar. As for his contempt for the military just look back to his decorum when he was president. Anyone who has ever been in the miliatary knows a salute when they see one. He couldn"t even salute properly and he was CIC?

<font size="2" face="verdana, arial, helv">He was investigated specifically about his extramarital affairs with Monica Lewinski. Call it what you want, I'm telling you what it was about. And it was an embarrassment to the nation. Embarrassing that he lied, embarrassing that he had to lie because someone felt it necessary to ask.

Try investigated for lying in a deposition regarding Paula Jones lawsuit.
Your revisionist history and lies won't work here as we are educated, not brainwashed and brain dead.

What's done is past.
If you're interest in the NOW, go to a search engine, like google, then type in,
Bush + *****
and see what you get.

Re: American Disasters!
SDog - It may seem juvenile, but it gave a lot of people a nice, warm feeling to see Clinton impeached. Too bad he wasn't removed from office afterwards. Too bad he just shrugged it off, as did apparently millions of democrats, and went on like nothing unusual happened. When we were in school we learned that the only US president to be impeached was Andrew Johnson. Now its Clinton, too!
Compared to a lot of other federal expenditures, the American people got a good deal. Look at it as cheap entertainment.

Re: American Disasters!
At least the state of Arkansas had the guts to disbar him from practicing law. And the libs keep on defending him by deflecting past wrongs of others. Did the Reps defend Nixon? Look what happened to Packwood for patting some behinds. I won't defend any of them, they reap what they sow.

<font size="2" face="verdana, arial, helv">What's interesting is that Nixon, really, should not have been allowed to resign, as by law the president can't. This was something written in by the Founding Fathers to make sure that the person in office was there for the long-haul. Instead, with all the stuff that America had gone through on the whole deal, the powers that be simply decided not to enforce that little issue.

<font size="2" face="verdana, arial, helv">Just curious before I go on to find more info on Prescott Bush and his fund raising for the **** party, what source of information short of the horses mouth will be acceptable to you? It'd be a waste of my time if you won't admit anything into evidence.
Crud, three in a row. I ranted.

No arguments there, Keta. Just making sure that there wasn't any question about the facts.
Oh, and don't believe what you get in email either.

Re: American Disasters!
Geek,
First post- Wish it didn't have to happen too.
Second post- What the curent presidents Grandfather did in of no concern (look at the Kenedys, Lindenberg, and just what DID Clinton's real father do for a living? His mother was a hooker!). What GWB does now is what I am watching. The BS that I posted was just to show what can be found on the internet, some true some not.
What is worse with the Bush family is what George Sr. did when he was head of the CIA ,VP and President. Noreaga, Sadam Hassain and more were brought to us with the help of George Bush Sr.
Sr. should have finished Sadam during the first war. The next one will be a lot worse, but it needs to be done.
Every one in politics has some dirt on them, it's the nature of the kind of people that seek power.
