I am selling one of my underwater camera setups. It consists of the following:
- Ikelite #6190 housing, with base and handles
- (2) Nikon Coolpix 5000 5MP cameras with batteries, chargers, and sync cable
- NO strobe
I have taken many underwater shots with this setup, and it works flawlessly. This does not include a strobe which would be needed for deeper diving.
On the housing, the hotshoe for the bulkhead fitting if using a strobe is non-functioning, but the manual controller on the arm is better and that is what I use. If wanting to use a hotshoe connection to the bulkhead fitting, then Ikelite can easily replace.
Housing info can be found here:
http://www.ikelite.com/web_pages/cp5000.html
The cameras both operate perfectly. They are 5MP and are capable of producing quality 8 x 10 photos. They are a prosumer camera, and have full manual mode as well as aperature and shutter priority.
I have a small Olympus housing with a 5MP camera that I use when I don't want to lug a big setup underwater. It is older than this housing and cameras, but like this setup, still takes great photos. I also have a new housing for my SLR, so I just don't need these sitting around.
Cameras sell on ebay for about $100 each, and the housing will sell on ebay for about $350-$400.
Housing and both cameras for $400.
